On April 5, the School Board unanimously approved changes to bell schedules for the 2023-2024 school year. The times listed below will take effect at the start of next school year.

These changes were approved to improve the efficiency and consistency of bus transportation throughout the school district. Canceled and delayed bus runs have been a common occurrence and are disruptive to student learning and create logistical challenges for families. Since January, over 3,500 students have been impacted by a canceled bus run, disrupting their ability to get to and from school. The bell time changes outlined above will allow us to improve transportation efficiency and have the least amount of impact on families, compared to other models that were considered.
The bell time model that was approved was developed by our Bell Time Task Force, which began its work this past September. It took into account thousands of pieces of feedback collected through multiple surveys, public comments at board meetings and emails received.
We know that these changes can create challenges for families and staff who need to adjust to new schedules. We appreciate your patience and understanding in transitioning to a new bell schedule next year that better serves the over 14,000 students who rely on school bus transportation.
