Nov. 19 is substitute educators’ day, and this year we take the opportunity to appreciate and extend our gratitude to substitutes of all kinds.
Substitute positions are vital in keeping the district running smoothly. The positions include but are not limited to teachers, paraprofessionals, office professionals, food service workers, bus drivers, nurses, custodians, maintenance staff, security personnel, and even principals. Substitute workers help cover employee absences in a variety of job functions, and we are especially grateful for their support.
We encourage our community to consider applying for substitute employment. Substitutes have the unique opportunity to become better acquainted with our district, individual school locations, and job types before seeking permanent positions. If you are interested in becoming a substitute, please visit the district website to begin an online application.
Thank you to all our substitutes for the work you do. You are incredibly valuable and critical to school district operations and student learning.
