Board President Kathy Yang Shaking HandsAt the Nov. 15 School Board meeting, the district recognized retiring School Board President Kathy Yang for eight years of dedicated service to Puyallup School District students, staff, families, and community. Serving since 2013, Yang held the Board President position in 2018, 2020, and the 2021 calendar year.

Administration surprised her with a rose appreciation ceremony in which Superintendent Polm presented her with a dedication plaque in her honor. The following video captures elements of that day, pictures of her service throughout the years, and heartfelt messages from her School Board colleagues.



The district honors Kathy Yang for eight years of service and wishes her the very best in the months and years ahead.
