National School Counseling Week Feb. 7-11

The Puyallup School District recognizes and honors the hard work and dedication of 54 school counselors, during National School Counseling Week, a nationwide focus sponsored by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).
School counselors are certified/licensed educators who help students succeed in school by promoting access to resources. They guide, advise, recommend, consult, and assist with the limitless concerns of staff, students, and families. Counselors assist students with academic planning and goal setting, provide short-term counseling and referrals for long-term support, all while collaborating with families. From helping students with academic achievement strategies and post-secondary planning, to managing emotions and interpersonal skills, school counselors are vital members of the education team and integral to student success.
Please join us in celebrating Puyallup School District counselors during National School Counseling Week.
