Congratulations Dr. Vincent Pecchia for receiving the Community Leadership Award presented at the annual Washington Association of School Administrators (WASA) Award Ceremony.

Assistant Superintendent of Equity and Instructional Leadership, Dr. Pecchia received the award for his leadership and focus on service to students. Working closely with the School Board, Dr. Pecchia realigned leadership roles to ensure a clear and tight focus on service to students. He also led outreach efforts to community groups focused on developing a stronger sense of belonging for students, staff, and families.

Superintendent Dr. John Polm describes him as an inclusive leader who embraces cultural differences and encourages all stakeholder viewpoints through collaborative, open, and organic conversations.

Dr. Pecchia’s leadership style is student-centered, results oriented, equitable, self-reflective, and calm. We generously thank him for his service to the district in fostering healing and connection.
