Rogers Student Places 2nd in Writing & Art ContestCongratulations to Rogers High Junior Lauren Cryder! She won second place for photography in the Pierce County Library System’s 24th annual ‘Our Own Expressions’ Teen Writing and Art Contest.

Teens compete for cash prizes in the categories of: Poetry, Short Story, Photography, and Drawing. The 36 winning submissions are published in the 2020 Our Own Expressions book. There were 800 entries from more than 80 public and private schools.

Cryder will receive a copy of the book and was awarded $75 for her photo of a Dandelion. The awards are provided by the Pierce County Library Foundation.
