Beginning Feb. 8, free COVID-19 rapid testing will be available for student athletes who are cleared for fall sports at Puyallup School District high schools. Tests are available to asymptomatic (symptom-free) student-athletes as a countermeasure for disease transmission as PSD Athletics return to sports.
The test is voluntary and is available for cleared student athletes only. Athletes must be symptom-free and have no known recent exposure to COVID-19. A non-invasive swab provides results within 15 minutes. A positive result will require immediate isolation.
Student athletes wanting to participate are to contact their resident high school for appointment times and waiver information.
Voluntary Rapid Testing is an additional countermeasure for disease transmission as we return to school and sports.
