Families with students who qualify
for free
and reduced priced meals will receive a Pandemic Electronic Benefit
Transfer (P-EBT) benefit card this month. The P-EBT value covers the student
meal costs for breakfasts and lunches they would have received through the
2020-21 school year. This version of food assistance offers a set amount
of money per child, per day based on the number of days a student attended
school remotely or in person.
Puyallup School District will continue
to work diligently with state agencies to claim the maximum cash benefit for
families. This benefit, in addition to free
5-day meal packs, help cover the cost of meals children would have received
at school.
