Classified Employee Week March 1-5
Posted on 03/01/2021
Today kicks off Classified School Employee Week in the Puyallup School District. I’d like to recognize and honor the work of those who serve our schools, support our staff, and take care of students every day. Classified staff clean and maintain buildings, prepare and distribute food, assist in the classroom, provide a secure environment, and so much more. We are fortunate to have the dedication of nearly 1700 classified employees involved in every aspect of education so that our schools can function properly.
Classified employees are truly the backbone of our education system in Puyallup and in public schools in general. These employees support offices, safety, transportation, nutrition, and the direct instruction of our students. Their commitment to students often goes unnoticed in the community, but it enables the best educational experience possible for students.
Please join me in thanking our classified employees this week for their commitment to serve. It is through our diverse talents and dedication to students that enables us to continue with our tradition of excellence.
In service and support,
Dr. John A. Polm
Superintendent
