March Gladness is an annual community service event coordinated by Communities In Schools (CIS) of Puyallup. The event encourages students across the district to engage in local community service. School administration, CIS coordinators, and student leadership work collaboratively to decide on a school wide project. The project can be local, statewide, national, or even global.

For students, staff, and family at Woodland Elementary, this is a time to give as well as keeping the spirit of a special little boy alive and blooming.Jennifer and Isabella Baldoz

Brady Baldoz was in second grade when his young life ended. Brady was kind, smart, creative, and a friend to all. He loved writing stories, reading Goosebumps and The Run-Away Dolls. He enjoyed drawing, acting, and swimming. He also loved Woodland, his friends, and teachers.

For a third year in a row, Brady’s Blessings has been the theme for Woodland’s March Gladness project. Leadership students accepted donations for needed art supplies or a monetary contribution to purchase a large school wide item.

The idea created behind Brady’s Blessings was to gather much needed supplies for students and to exemplify Brady’s kindness. In addition to fulfilling a need, it has also helped Woodland’s students and community heal their hearts a little along the way.

“Growing Brady’s Blessings each year has been amazing. This was a loss that was felt, not just by our family and friends, but by the entire Woodland community.”

said Jennifer Baldoz, Brady’s mother

This year 690 items were collected. Brady’s Blessings will continue to gather donations annually at Woodland in honor of Brady.
