Special education is part of the instructional continuum of services and programs provided to meet the diverse needs, interests, and abilities of all students. District curriculum is modified, supplemented, or differentiated to provide appropriate individually designed services.

The following lists various services and programs provided through Puyallup School District Special Services.

TITLE I/LEARNING ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (LAP) provides supplemental services in reading, writing, or mathematics to struggling students.

HEALTH SERVICES SUPPORT provides services to students having medical or health-related concerns. Currently our staff includes Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Nurse Assistants.

SPECIAL EDUCATION provides a full continuum of services for students with disabilities, ages 3-21 within an appropriate, individualized program for each student in the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE).
