5th and 6th Grade Field Investigation

WSU STEM Field Investigations

Hello 5th and 6th grade teachers!  The district is excited to announce that our partnership with WSU Extension and Research Center and The Pacific Education Institute will continue for the 2016-2017 school year. And big news that this year the 6th grade field investigations is mandatory across all schools in the district. So, if you know a teacher in your building that hasn’t been trained at 6th grade, make sure they sign up for a training date.

As teachers who have already been trained and participated, we would like to give you first dibs on our offerings for this fall and again in the spring.  You won’t need to be trained again.  We just want you to bring another group of kids out for this great opportunity to learn outdoors about a real-world problem in our very own community.

Please check out the dates and let me know which day you want and whether you prefer morning or afternoon. Keep in mind it is helpful if you plan with the other 5th and 6th grade teachers in your building so that we can keep transportation costs to a minimum. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a fantastic school year!
