Automotive Program

The Automotive Technology program offers exciting careers and unlimited opportunities. Using state of the art equipment and ASE certified instruction, students learn how to diagnose and repair today's high-tech vehicles. This program will prepare students for entry level employment as automotive technicians. Our program offers training in areas such as: electrical systems, engine performance, transmissions, brakes, steering and suspension systems, air conditioning systems, and engine repair. Students are prepared to take industry standard certification exams from ASE. Students receive hands-on experience on repair and diagnostic equipment that is currently used in the automotive field today. This is a hands-on training program that allows plenty of lab time to develop the skills needed to be successful in the Automotive industry. Our program works closely with local employers and many of our graduates are currently working as Auto and Diesel Technicians.

Automotive Technology I
Prerequisite: None
Open to: 10, 11, 12,

This is a one-year course that offers a foundation of knowledge for automobile maintenance and repair.

Automotive Technology II
Prerequisite: Auto I
Open to: 11, 12, 
Full Year, 2 period block
Dual Credit - Yes

Automotive Technology II is an application only, year-long two period course for 11th and 12th grade students. The course is designed for the student who is interested in a career in the Automotive industry.

Automotive Technology III
Prerequisite: Auto I and II
Open to: 12
Full Year 2 period block
Dual Credit - Yes

Auto III is an application only, year-long two period course for 12th grade students who have successfully completed Auto I and Auto II. This course leads to ASE certification and employment opportunities.
