
This year, reimagining our
‘tradition of excellence’ is not just about academics, but social and emotional
wellness for students. A student’s ability to learn begins with a sense of
belonging. Feeling comfortable in a classroom setting has a direct impact on
academic achievement. A safe environment to ask questions and share experiences
elevates learning, understanding, and cultivates relationships. Because of
this, our teaching and learning environments need to be safe, inclusive places
where everyone feels welcomed so learning can excel.
We will strive to provide each student with supportive relationships to combat
the negative effects of stress and adversity. Because at the end of the day, we
want everyone to know and feel that they belong. This academic mindset is a key
component on our path
