We’re excited to welcome our volunteers back into schools while abiding by the latest state requirements. The latest Washington State mandate requires that volunteers are to be fully vaccinated by Oct. 18 or obtain a medical or religious exemption. Employees, contractors and substitutes are also included in this requirement.
Effective for the 2021-22 school year, volunteers working onsite at a district facility for periods of 15 minutes or more are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or obtain a religious or medical exemption. This requirement does not apply to volunteers who are onsite for shorter periods of 15 minutes or less.
Approved volunteers can email a copy of their vaccination card to the school at which they are approved or apply for a medical or religious exemption. Approved volunteers can begin service as soon as proof of vaccination is received or medical/religious exemption is approved.
