Personal Training Program
The Personal Trainer course is a preparatory level course that focuses on the application of exercise science, fitness assessment, nutrition, program design, exercise techniques and instruction, client relations, behavioral coaching, and professional development and responsibility. Content is presented through a combination of academic lessons, activities, and labs. Upon successful completion of the Personal Trainer course, all students will be provided the opportunity to earn cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), automated external defibrillator (AED), and first aid (FA) certification. Students age 18 or older will also have the opportunity to earn Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) certification.
