The Puyallup High School Vikings won three state championship titles this week, dominating the field and the links in Class 4A baseball, fastpitch, and boys golf.

The baseball team culminated an undefeated 28-0 season on May 31 by beating South Kitsap 7-1 at the state championship game in Pasco.

A couple of hours later, the girls fastpitch team won the state title after a 4-2 finish against Walla Walla. Earlier in the day, the team beat Woodinville in the semifinals in Spokane.

The boys golf team also showed it is the best in Washington state this year, clinching first place as a team and finishing the tournament on May 29 with three of its players landing in the top five medal spots.

Individual athletes also excelled in various spring sports, including track and field. Rogers High senior Eric Simpson took first place in the 110-meter and 300-meter hurdles, while Emerald Ridge High senior ShaRaya Quinn won second place in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles.

Rogers High also placed second in the 4 x 100-meter team relay at the track and field state championship.
