It was an exciting first day for nearly 1,800 kindergartners
in Puyallup on Monday, September 9.
They came with new shoes and backpacks. Families came to see
them off. Some proudly arrived with older brothers and sisters.
There were smiles, tears, and many new friends.
Teachers were prepared and ready to begin as they welcomed
the kindergartners. They learned to walk quietly in line, where the restrooms are
located, how to order lunch, how to gather in a circle, and they became
familiar with the classroom — to name a few.
