All you need to know for 'Back to School 2019'

As nearly 23,000 Puyallup students and their parents prepare for the start of school, here is information on school calendars, bell schedules, bus routes, and many more subjects.

The links below will lead you to specific information to help you get started with the new school year.

Visit the Athletics and Activities site for the Student Athletic Handbook, learn about physical exams, academic eligibility for athletes, and athletic fees.

• Childcare – Right At School
The district has contracted with a childcare provider called Right At School to offer before and after school care for students in preschool through grade six, taking place in each elementary school.

• Classroom Assignments
Elementary students who attended the district schools last year or who registered during the summer will be notified of their classroom teacher and room number through electronic postcards on August 28.

• Fair Day
Puyallup Schools Education Day at the Fair is Wednesday, September 11. All students will be dismissed 3.25 hours earlier than the regular school schedule.

• Lunch information at Food and Nutrition Services
Visit this site to learn about pricing, menus and nutrition information, and apply for free or reduced meals.

• Records
Student records and transcripts may be requested from the Student Records department. Follow the link for more information on requesting student records.

• Registration and Enrollment
All schools will be open for registration beginning August 24. You can also register online.

• School Supply Lists
Visit the district website and choose the ‘Select School’ drop down menu to choose your school. Individual schools will provide their school supply list on the school website. The information may be listed on the schools Facebook page, which is also accessible from their website.

Take home computers are checked out to every seventh through twelfth grade student. These students will need to complete the Puyallup Protection Plan document in order to check out their computer.  

Fourth, fifth and sixth grade classrooms have class sets of computers which stay at school. Our kindergarten through third grade teams share carts of computers, with one class set for every four classrooms. 

• Volunteering
Are you approved to volunteer?  If not, click here to be directed to the online application. Schools are already in need of volunteers to help with Back to School preparations.  Contact your child's school for opportunities.
