The Daffodil Parade, Vesey-Munson Art Show, and Honoring Cultures Diversity Celebration all took place during spring break this year and student achievement was on display for all to see.

Band directors and student musicians from all junior highs and three high schools performed alongside cheer squads and dance teams, while Daffodil Princesses waved from atop their float during a mostly dry Puyallup parade.

Student artists from kindergarten through twelfth grade showed their work in the first of three Vesey-Munson Art Shows for 2019. Entries have been judged and the artwork will go on to another show at the Pioneer Park Pavilion on Saturday, April 27. First place winners will have their artwork professionally matted and framed and, thanks to a new partnership with Tacoma Art Museum, their work will be installed at TAM during the last week of May and be on display in the museum through the end of June.

For over a decade, Puyallup School District has hosted the annual Honoring Cultures Diversity Celebration. Each student with artwork, poetry, or other material on display received a ticket to the spring fair. The tradition of honoring students and their families, their traditions and culture will continue each year in Puyallup schools and culminate at the Spring Fair.
