SuperintendentTo the Puyallup community,

This week we honor our veterans and all that they have done for us in service to our nation.  I would like to offer a particular word of thanks to all of the staff members of the Puyallup School District who have served in our nation’s armed forces.

Over the next few school days there are Veterans Day observances at all of our schools.  As the superintendent, I am particularly proud of the manner in which our students conduct themselves while honoring our veterans.  A special thanks to the RHS Ram Battalion JROTC for serving as color guard at many of these ceremonies.

We are so fortunate to live in a community that has close ties to the military installations at JBLM.  We know that there are many parents of our students who are currently serving our nation and must spend long periods of time away from their family and community.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, staff, and students of the Puyallup School District, Thank You to all of our active duty personnel and the veterans who live and work in the Puyallup community. Your service and sacrifice is deeply appreciated.

Happy Veterans Day.
