
Kathy Yang and Maddie Names are the winners of this
year’s Puyallup School Board election according to certified result of the November 7 General Election.
The Pierce County Auditor’s Office certified the results on November 28.
Incumbent Kathy Yang received 12,651 votes (71.30%) compared to challenger Bart Johnson’s 5,031 votes (28.35%).
Names received 10,752 votes (60.36%) compared to challenger Mike Leuzzi’s 6,992 votes (39.25%). Names replaces Pat Donovan who decided not to seek re-election.
Both elected directors will take their oath of office at the December 11 school board meeting. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Ballou Junior High School, 9916 136th St E in Puyallup.
