Chief Academic Officer Amy Eveskcige has joined an elite group of educators nationwide selected as University Council for Educational Administration (UCEA) Barbara L. Jackson Scholars.

Eveskcige received the honor last fall at the UCEA annual convention at the University of Pittsburgh.

The Jackson Scholars Network is comprised of graduate students of color who are studying in educational leadership doctoral programs and who plan to enter the professoriate. Eveskcige is a Puyallup Tribal Member.

The Puyallup educator is working on her doctorate through WSU. During her two years as a Jackson Scholar, she will work with a faculty mentor, have an opportunity to engage in professional development activities, and be supported as she develops professional networks.
