Mark your calendars and get your dancing shoes ready to join the Karshner Museum for the History of Rock and Roll Festival on Saturday, November 19. This rockin’ event will be held from 12-5 p.m. at the Karshner Museum, 309 4th St. NE.

This free and family-friendly event will include music, dance and art activities.  

Event headliners include:

- Joe Cook Band (Performing at 12:00 p.m.) Past winner and nominated for 2022 Washington Blues Society Best Blues Band and Best Traditional Blues Band. Featuring West Coast Blues legends Joe Cook, Tim “Stoop down” Sherman, Conrad Ormsby, and the Mighty Mite.Joe T. Cook is a multiple Twin Cities Music Awards winner for his blazing blues harmonica, original songwriting and vocals.Tim "Stoop Down” Sherman is a blues guitarist nonpareil, a three-time B.B. Award winner for Best Electric Guitar and WBS Hall of Fame member. He is a true Master of the Stratocaster as well as that big red Gibson ES-355 guitar. His style combines old-school Lonnie Johnson, T-Bone Walker, B.B. King and Pee Wee Crayton with west coast revival.Conrad "El Machete" Ormsby is considered one of the best blues drummers on the west coast, and his talents are constantly in demand.    

• - Danny Vernon, Puyallup’s Famous Elvis Impersonator (performing at 1:15 p.m.) Danny is known for his high-energy Elvis Tribute show that focuses on doing justice to Elvis’s music. He will be performing the “recklessly abandoned” hillbilly cat of the 1950s Elvis. He has won many awards over the last 15 years, including being endorsed as one of the Top 10 Elvis Tribute Artists by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

- The Rhapsody Project Songsters of Seattle (performing at 2:15 p.m.) will present a range of blues, R&B, and soul music to educate the audience about the many styles and performers who contributed to the development of Rock & Roll. 

• - Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Big Bopper Tribute (performing at 3:45 p.m.) This tribute pays respect to three entertainers who were taken from us way too early in their young musical careers, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and J.P. “The Big Bopper” Richardson. Backed by five professional musicians, this show will keep your toes tapping and make you want to dance in the aisles to songs like That’ll be the Day, Peggy Sue, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace and much more!
