Summer Resources for Families

From summer activities and camps to free meals and rent assistance, resources exist for families who may need help over the summer months.  The following listing is intended to connect students and families to community resources when school is not in session.

Housing or Household items:

  •  Call 2-1-1 for support with housing, rental/utilities assistance, food, clothes, etc.
  •  St. Francis House: Visit them online or call (253) 770-6991 for assistance. 
  •  St. Vincent de Paul: Visit them online or call (253) 474-0519 for assistance.

If your family lives in any of the following situations, your children may qualify for rights and protections under the McKinney-Vento Act.

  •  Doubled up with other people due to loss of housing or economic hardship
  •  In a hotel or campground from the lack of an alternative housing options
  •  In a car, park, or other unsheltered space
