The Karshner Museum has another fun, free and family-friendly event that you won’t want to miss. The Magic and Diversity of Stories will be held on June 4 from 12-5 p.m. at the museum. From the oral tradition of teaching through story to the artful creation for books and from the ancient form of shadow puppetry to hip hop music telling vivid stories, there is something for everybody at this event.
Featured performances and activities include:
- • The Oregon Shadow Theatre performing Puss N’ Boots
- • Steilacoom Tribal Storytellers Danny Marshall and Shianna Deck-Ugelstad sharing the significance of storytelling traditions
- • Global Heat Rhythm and Beats playing with words through rhythm and sounds
- • Book-It Repertory Theatre presenting Koala Lou, a participatory program for children in preschool through 2nd grade
- • Art projects, read-alouds and more!
There will also be giveaways and hands on activities to participate in. We hope to see you there!
