Congratulations to Rogers senior Erica Won, who recently was chosen to receive a QuestBridge College Match Scholarship to Davidson College. Erica is in the AVID program at Rogers and recorded her reaction during school on Dec. 1 while she opened the email from QuestBridge. She also recorded the happy moment when she told her parents the news.
The Match scholarship covers costs including tuition and fees, room and board, books and supplies, and travel expenses. The cost of attending Davidson College (tuition, room, and board) is currently $72,900 per year, which makes the scholarship worth at least $291,600.
In 2021, over 16,500 high school students applied for this scholarship. Out of 1,674 finalists, only 25 students were matched with Davidson. QuestBridge is a national nonprofit based in Palo Alto, California that connects the nation’s most exceptional, low-income youth with leading colleges and opportunities.
Erica is incredibly deserving, and we could not be prouder!
