board clappingTuran Kayaoglu, Michael Keaton, and Joseph Romero are the apparent winners of this year’s Puyallup School Board election. 

The Pierce County Auditor’s Office will certify the results on November 26.

As of November 8, Turan Kayaoglu has received 12,690 votes (60.02%) compared to Brock Carroll’s 8,181 votes (38.81%). He will replace Chris Ihrig, who decided not to seek re-election.

Incumbent Michael Keaton has received 13.523 votes (61.82%) compared to challenger Amanda Cuthbert’s 8,195 votes (37.46%).

Joseph Romero has received 16,755 votes (96%) and ran unopposed. He will replace Dane Looker, who decided not to seek re-election.

All three directors will take their oath of office at the December 9 school board meeting. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at Ferrucci Junior High, 3213 Wildwood Park Drive, Puyallup, WA 98374.
