Families should come back to HAC.

Why? Secondary Interim Progress Reports (IPR) will be completed on November 26, 2018. Beginning this year, parents/guardians will not have to wait for the reports to arrive through the postal service. For the first time, the IPR reports will be available through the district’s Home Access Center, otherwise known as HAC.

Moving from paper copies of IPRs to electronic version gives parents immediate access as well as saving costs and the environment.

The Puyallup School District provides parents the ability to stay informed about school events, student course work including homework assignments, projects, tests, grades, and transcripts through two platforms.

Schoology is the district’s Learning Managements System. Parents can access the day-to-day assignments, grades, and tests through a Schoology account. Schoology is a modern version of a teacher’s grade book. Progress reports and final grades are pulled from Schoology and entered into the district’s student information system (eSchoolPlus).

Home Access Center (HAC) provides information that is on the district’s Student Information System (eSchoolPlus). HAC gives parents/guardians the ability to update their student’s geographical information, view attendance, assessment scores, grades, official transcripts, and beginning November 26, parents can view the IPRs.

“A lot of families are very familiar with Schoology. We have strongly encouraged parents to take advantage of this learning and communication tool to check on grades, homework, and day to day assignments. We also want families to come back to HAC. HAC has not gone away with the introduction of Schoology. We want to remind parents through HAC they can view attendance, assessment scores, official transcripts and soon they will be able to view the IPR reports, this information is not available Schoology.”
