The
deadline to register by mail or online to vote in the August 4, 2015
Primary Election is July 6. All registrations must be postmarked by this
date.
Three
Puyallup School Board director positions are up for election in this
year’s November General Election; however, none of the open seats will
be on the August Primary Election ballot because none have more than two
candidates vying for the positions.
Non-partisan
offices are only included on the primary election ballot when three or
more candidates have filed for the position. By the May 15 filing
deadline, two of the board positions each have two candidates vying for
the seats, while another is unopposed.
Puyallup
School Board Position 2, currently held by Director Dane Looker, has
two candidates running for the open seat. Looker and Derek Maynes are
running for Position 2.
Position
3, currently held by Pat Jenkins, also has two candidates vying for the
office. Jenkins and Michael Keaton have filed for Position 3.
Director Chris Ihrig is running unopposed for Position 5.
Puyallup School Board candidates are elected to four-year terms on the board.
