Ballots for the November 5, 2013 General Election have been sent to registered voters and must be postmarked and mailed, or deposited in postage-free ballot drop boxes, by Election Day to be counted.
The Pierce County Auditor’s Office mailed local ballots to registered voters on October 18. Last month, the office sent ballots to military and U.S. citizens overseas.
All Washington state elections are vote-by-mail.
Ballot drop boxes are open 24 hours daily and will continue to accept ballots until 8 p.m. on Election Day. Drop boxes within the Puyallup School District are located at:
Puyallup Library
324 South Meridian, Puyallup
South Hill Library
15420 Meridian Ave. E., Puyallup
Edgewood City Hall
2224 104th Ave. E., Edgewood
Locally, there are two Puyallup School Board positions on the election ballot.
Pat Donovan and Noreen Wolfe are running for Position 1, currently held by Director Pat Donovan.
Karen Edwards and Kathy Yang are vying for Position 4, currently held by Director Greg Heath.
Puyallup School Board candidates are elected to four-year terms on the board.
