Parents
and students throughout the district are invited to attend a community
night designed to help students be successful in creating projects for
the district’s new Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)
Showcase, formerly known as the district Science Fair.
The
free information night will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday,
January 7 in the Rogers High School Commons, 12801 86th Ave. E.,
Puyallup.
The
name of this year’s event has changed to represent a stronger focus on
engineering and technology while continuing to welcome science projects
from all grade levels, said Christine Moloney, director of instructional
leadership.
Pope
Elementary QUEST teacher Stephanie Haegele is coordinating this year’s
STEM Showcase, which will take place during the Washington State Fair
Spring Fair, April 10-13, in Puyallup.
